UniWakka is a Wiki Engine derived from WakkaWiki  (dead link), a light-weight, easy to install and to configure collaborative editing software for web content.
Derived from Wakka-0.1.3-dev, UniWakka is mostly intended for an university or scientific environment.

• Php 4.1 or above (not tested with php-5.0): --you need Multi byte Functions enabled-- (removed with 0.5.0) XSLT must be present for exporting MathML.

Here you can download mbstring and xslt php extentions, for Linux.
These extensions were compiled on a glibc-2.2.5 system with -static-libgcc compiler option. This should mean that these modules can be used on every system with glibc-2.2.5 or greater.
I tested them on various systems and they seem to be working fine, but use at your own risk.
There are 4 version, with xslt statically or dynamically linked with sablot. If your sistem does not have sablot take the static one.

• For php-4.1 up to php-4.2.0: dynamically linked, statically linked
• For php-4.2.1 up to php-4.3.8: dynamically linked, statically linked

You can also try to build them by yourself.
Update (September 12, 2004)
A test version of UniWakka that does not require mbstring is available: get UniWakka and unpack it. Then replace wakka.php in the main UniWakka directory with the one you can find here:
http://uniwakka.sourceforge.net/files/wakka.php.txt
to be saved as wakka.php, obviously
This is not fully tested (but should hopefully work) and bug reports would be greatly appreciated (expecially if coming from users whose language requires multibyte encoding).
The plan is to remove the mbstring requirement.

OpenOffice2UniWakka is an export filter for OpenOffice . It will let you use OpenOffice.org  Writer to export your document in the UniWakka text format.
